I removed it from the wrap and I could immediately feel that it was real leather, it even has that vague leather smell that new real leather products have, it feels lovely and soft to the touch. It has a nice soft leather strap which could be used as a wrist strap or for hanging the paddle up when not in use.

It comes with a tastefully designed label from bound to tease, bound to tease is a loving joy creation, and the packaging is nice and bright but not tacky.

The paddle itself is padded and the hearts feel nice and soft to the touch, this made me think that this would be a gentler paddle, but I was wrong after a couple of mid strength strikes with it, I could feel and hear that that this was not the case.

It has some lovely stitching in a contrasting color which makes it look really nice and it has a feel of real quality, I think that this comes from it been real leather and the leather been nice and soft.

The paddle itself is smooth and flat but the hearts are padded and raised. I actually think that these been raised add to the amount of impact that you get from this toy, the surface area that hits you seems to have been affected by the hearts been raised and this makes it more painful. Not a problem for me, I like it but it is something that you might want to take into account when looking to get a toy of this type.

I know what you want to know and it is probably what I wanted to know, does it leave pretty pink heart prints when you use it? In my mind there is no point in making a paddle with pretty hearts on it if it doesn’t leave some nice heart imprints when it is been used.

Yes it does, and yes I did try and get a picture of it, but my skin doesn’t like to stay red for very long, in fact the only thing that can mark it for any length of time it the cane that we have and even then after a few minutes they look less than impressive.

Overall I really like this paddle, it is firm, gives a give slap if that’s what you want to do, it looks nice, and it leaves pretty hearts all over your loved one, and its real leather and this gives it a feeling of quality. I can see this paddle becoming a real favorite of ours and that the more it gets used and the more the leather gets worn the better it becoming.
